You will be responsible for:
- Develop novel methodologies to characterize mechanical properties both on cell and component level
- Design appropriate advanced material characterization, prepare samples, and run tests to find nonlinear (viscoelastic, hyperelastic, or strain-rate dependent) mechanical material properties of the electrodes, separator, current collectors, and casing of the cells
- Analyze data and discuss regularly with engineers and scientists and draw meaningful conclusions, contribute to Verkor Li-ion cell development
- Run existing mathematical models or develop new models (both depending on candidate's interest) in Python, Matlab, or COMSOL and to perform model validation/correlation with the tests
- Present results to the multi-disciplinary Product Design Engineering team
- Construct database
