About this role :

    We are currently looking for an Industrial Engineer to join us in January 2025. As such, you will be part of the Industrial Engineering Team for Factory Logistics Engineering, with a focus on the mechanical/electrical/control engineering part. The goal is to design the most automated battery manufacturing process in the world.
    This position is located in our gigafactory based in Bourbourg, near Dunkirk (North of France). By joining this fast-growing plant, you will have the opportunity to take part in the launch of the gigafactory, with production due to start in mid-2025.

Main missions :

  • Lead the assigned topics of industrial automation systems and machines, such as:
  • - ASRS (Automatic storage and retrieval system)
    - Stacker cranes and automatic lifters
    - Automated conveying systems
    - AGV (Automatic guided Vehicles) or RGV (Rail guided Vehicles)
    - 3-axis gantries (Pick and Place robots/machines)
    - Automatic packaging/grading/inspection machines.
  • To be a part of project engineering tasks for the new giga factory plant: Design review, Manufacturing coordination, FAT (Factory acceptance tests), installation and commissioning tasks, validation, and SAT (Site acceptance Tests).
  • Improving the factory with process improvement projects after hardware installation. The goal is to reduce labor and scrap costs, while increasing machine availability and utilization.

Main requirements :

  • Master's degree in engineering
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience
  • Knowledge of the intercommunication protocols (OPCUA/API) between the software and machines.
  • Good to have knowledge in industrial engineering ERP software like Master ERP (SAP), WMS (Warehouse Management System), and MES (Manufacturing Execution System).
  • Data processing and analysis tasks using MS Excel, Minitab, MATLAB, or Python
