We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our innovative and dynamic team of extraordinary engineers. Our mission is to propel the shift toward world electrification and decarbonization by scaling battery manufacturing technology more efficiently.

Job Description:

The successful applicant will perform the following duties related to software development.

Responsibilities

The Principal AI systems engineer will implement and own the compute and system application infrastructure to serve our long-running, stateful agentic workflows to a large number of end users. To this end, they will be responsible for infrastructure design weighing tradeoffs around latency and fault tolerance, they will build an orchestration layer that couples the agent execution to various backend services, they will own our production APIs, and they will obsess about observability for agent performance and system health. On the team, they will tightly collaborate with ML Engineers who deliver the models and workflow definitions.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• 5–10+ years of experience building and scaling data-intensive, distributed systems, with strong intuition for infrastructure design, and an obsession with latency, reliability, and throughput
• Deep hands-on experience with agentic AI architectures, including planning/execution loops, multi-agent systems, tool use, and orchestration of long-running, stateful workflows
• Strong track record of designing complex systems with production-grade APIs, integrations, and observability
• Capable of rapidly iterating through problem definition / prototyping / hardening, Thrives in fast-paced environment, end-to-end ownership mentality,
• Experienced in the following methodologies and applications such as Python, Rust, SQL, Typescript for APIs, as well as familiarity with frameworks / design patterns such as LangGraph, agentic workflows, and retrieval pipelines.
• Experience with Terraform, Bash, Docker, gRPC / REST would be useful
• Message queues / streaming and event-driven architectures
• Observability tools such as OpenTelemetry and Prometheus
