Our Software Engineer Interns will use their strong work ethic to assist on a variety of projects in order to gain exposure to all functions of our Engineering team. This role will include responsibilities of both software development and quality assurance. </span></p> <p><span><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></span></p> <ul> <li> <p><span>Applies design standards and procedures to implement basic designs</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span>Learns how to use and apply engineering tools as needed for this role</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span>Thoroughly documents work in an organized manner</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span>Communicates status of work clearly providing visibility to supervisor or mentor</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span>Responsible for planning own technical work</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span>Works collaboratively and professionally in a team environment with developers and test developers to achieve goals</span></p> </li> </ul> <p><span><strong>INTERNSHIP QUALIFICATIONS</strong></span></p> <ul> <li> <p><span>Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span>Have completed at least two years of an undergraduate curriculum</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span>A minimum GPA of at least 3.0</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span>Ability to work 40 hours a week during the summer</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span>Entry-level programming skills. Java, C#, Python, JavaScript and React preferred.</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span>Familiar with IDE such as Visual Studio Code or Eclipse</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span>Familiar with source code management tools such as Git</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span>Be comfortable in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span>Housing: Interns must be able to provide their own housing for the duration of the internship</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span>Eligible to work in the US without any sponsorship</span></p> </li> </ul> <p><span><strong>BONUS QUALIFICATIONS</strong></span></p> <ul> <li> <p><span>Experience with building RESTful web services & APIs (Swagger API)</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span>Experience with deploying web applications in Docker Containers</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span>Experience with hosting and maintaining web applications in Amazon Web Services</span></p> </li> </ul></span>
