THE OPPORTUNITY

The Director of Enterprise & Higher Education Go-Live oversees and manages the implementation and execution of customer deployments related to the launch and expansion of Modo applications, platforms, and services across both Enterprise and Higher Education customer segments. This role is accountable for ensuring seamless transitions from sale to production, high-quality customer outcomes, and scalable, repeatable go-live methodologies.

The Director partners closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product, Engineering, and Professional Services to deliver consistent, high-impact implementations that meet the unique operational, technical, and organizational needs of enterprise workplaces and higher education campuses.

This is a remote position that can be performed from anywhere in the continental U.S.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Go-Live & Implementation Leadership

  • Own and lead customer Go-Live team and initiatives for new and expanding Modo deployments across Enterprise and Higher Education.
  • Own the full Go-Live lifecycle, including scoping, planning, launch, stabilization, and handoff to Customer Success.

Program & Project Management

  • Oversee multiple concurrent implementations, managing timelines, budgets, resources, dependencies, and risk.
  • Track milestones, KPIs, and success metrics; provide clear, regular reporting to internal leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ensure predictable delivery and consistent execution across all customer deployments.
  • Manage external vendors and technology partners to support integrations related to deployments ensuring partner deliverables meet Modo standards, timelines, and customer expectations.

Cross-Functional & Customer Collaboration

  • Coordinate Sales, Product, Engineering, Support, and Customer Success teams to ensure alignment and accountability.
  • Serve as the executive escalation point for Go-Live risks, delivery challenges, and customer concerns.
  • Partner directly with customer stakeholders to align deployment activities with business, operational, and change management goals.

Segment-Specific Delivery

  • Higher Education: Lead implementations that account for academic calendars, SIS/LMS integrations, governance, accessibility, and campus-wide launches involving students, faculty, and staff.
  • Enterprise: Lead complex deployments involving security, identity systems, integrations, and large-scale workforce rollouts.

Supervisory, Continuous Improvement Responsibilities

  • Directly and indirectly manage assigned staff, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and employee development, in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Oversee training and enablement for Go-Live and Enterprise Premium Support team members
  • Conduct post-Go-Live reviews to assess outcomes, identify improvements, and refine delivery methodologies as well as continuously improve standardized Go-Live frameworks, playbooks, and best practices with segment-specific flexibility.
  • Stay current on trends in enterprise workplace technology and higher education digital experiences.
  • Lead and develop team members, fostering operational excellence and continuous improvement.

OUR WISH LIST

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher required. Degree in Computer Science, Project Management or a related field preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in project or program management with a proven record of delivering complex technology implementations.
  • 3+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • 3+ years of customer-facing experience, including executive-level stakeholder engagement.
  • Demonstrated experience managing senior stakeholders across multiple organizations.
  • Experience leading change management initiatives within enterprise and/or higher education environments.
  • Experience managing vendors and external partners to support implementation and Go-Live delivery.
  • Strong project and program management expertise, with the ability to develop and execute complex, multi-stakeholder implementation plans.
  • Proven leadership and people management skills, with experience coordinating cross-functional and customer-facing teams.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise systems, workplace technologies, and implementation challenges, as well as familiarity with Higher Education IT systems and campus environments.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present deployment methodologies and Go-Live strategies to customers during pre-sales and delivery phases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to proactively identify risks and drive solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and customer deployments while maintaining high quality and consistency.
  • Experience managing vendors and external partners in complex implementation environments.
  • Solid understanding of change management principles and adoption strategies in both enterprise and higher education settings.
  • Proficiency in leveraging tools, systems, and methodologies to optimize delivery, reporting, and operational efficiency.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current on emerging technologies and implementation best practices.
  • Learn and manage hands-on Modo application deployment tasks

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Attractive compensation package including equity: The base hiring range for this position is $165,000 - $175,000. This range is considered a national average determined by the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this role. Starting compensation will be commensurate with an individual’s background, experience, and location and may vary.
