Full job description

Fabric8Labs, headquartered in sunny San Diego, CA, is revolutionizing advanced manufacturing with next-generation 3D printing technology. We're looking for a Project Manager to support the Printhead Department as we scale our patented Electrochemical Additive Manufacturing (ECAM) process for global production.

ECAM uses precise, room-temperature metal deposition to unlock geometries and applications that conventional metal AM can't reach. Since announcing our agreement to be acquired by TDK Corporation, we're rapidly expanding our team to advance this disruptive technology across a wide range of electronics components—including data center infrastructure, wireless communications, and power electronics.

As a Project Manager, you'll be a crucial part of the team, responsible for planning multiple product and technology development projects in a fast-paced environment spanning NPI and production.

If you're excited to help shape the future of manufacturing alongside a growing team, come join us. We thrive on collaborative problem-solving and are eager to bring in diverse minds and perspectives.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage product roadmaps and development timelines
  • Oversee product testing, validation, and certification processes
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, resource plans, and budgets; communicate project status, risks, and updates to internal and external stakeholders. Help Project Leads define and capture project scope and objectives.
  • Co-develop and manage effective risk mitigation strategies. You will help to align key project activities with overarching strategic objectives.
  • Work effectively across multiple functions with senior engineers and technical staff.

  • 1 - 3 years of experience in a project management and/or centralized PMO role, where you have successfully managed project plans, resources, and budgets across a portfolio of projects.
  • Capability to perform at high-standards within a high-growth and fast paced team. Able to strike the right balance between establishing structure with strong organizational skills and moving quickly within an ambiguous environment.
  • Direct experience managing both waterfall and agile projects; including demonstrated competence in various project management software tools such as: MS Project, JIRA, Trello, SmartSheet etc.
  • You must have a growth mindset, exhibit extreme accountability, and be self-motivated to succeed in this role
  • You must have strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; and excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience in MEMS, advanced packaging, photonics, display technology, or semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and practices
  • PMP, CPPM, or similar Project Management Certificate/Certification; or specific certification in NPI or product lifecycle management.

Why Work at Fabric8Labs?

  • We offer a comprehensive benefits package, health, dental, and vision plans; 401(k) with employer match; and an unmetered vacation policy.
