Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Supply Chain Procurement Specialist to join our team and drive excellence in sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management. In this role, you will be instrumental in optimizing procurement processes, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the seamless flow of materials and services across our supply chain. Your expertise will help us achieve cost efficiencies, maintain high-quality standards, and support manufacturing and production operations. Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals, focusing on sourcing the best suppliers and negotiating favorable contracts.
  • Manage end-to-end procurement processes utilizing our ERP system to ensure timely acquisition of materials and services.
  • Source categories such as copper, machined parts, PCBs, stamped parts, and industrial components.
  • Conduct contract negotiations with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and compliance with federal acquisition regulations when applicable.
  • Oversee supplier management activities including performance evaluation, root cause analysis of supply issues, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, logistics, quality management, and production planning teams to coordinate procurement activities that support operational efficiency.
  • Perform category management to identify opportunities for cost savings, risk mitigation, and process enhancements within various procurement categories.
  • Analyze market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply chain risks to inform sourcing decisions and optimize inventory levels through MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems.
  • Develop and improve our supplier quality management and scorecard process.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in procurement management within manufacturing or supply chain environments.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings for machined parts, sheet metal, plastics, and other technical components. Knowledge of STEP files and solid models.
  • Ability to source commodities that are technical, complex, or for which you do not have experience sourcing. Metals and copper procurement a plus.
  • Experience in overseas sourcing and logistics.
  • Experience with ISO processes and documentation.
  • Strong proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, or similar platforms for procurement activities.
  • Expertise in contract negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management, including supplier scorecards.
  • Knowledge of federal acquisition regulations (FAR) is a plus for organizations working with government contracts.
  • Familiarity with logistics, materials management, production planning, and quality control processes.
  • Excellent analytical skills including root cause analysis to resolve supply disruptions effectively.

Pay: $78,000.00 - $106,000.00 per year
