ABOUT CLOCKWORKS ANALYTICS

Founded in 2008 within MIT's Building Science Department, Clockworks Analytics is revolutionizing the built environment through cutting-edge building analytics software — cutting-edge technology that empowers proactive and strategic operations, ushering in the next generation of smarter facilities management. We build the best automated building analytics in the industry.

ROLE SUMMARY

Clockworks Analytics is hiring a Go-To-Market (GTM) Engineer to improve the interaction, efficiency and connections between the various applications that drive our revenue engine: this is a hands-on technical role that writes the code, connects the APIs, and builds the workflows and automations that make our core GTM systems — Salesforce, HubSpot, Gong, and ZoomInfo, etc. — work together as one.

This role works to an architecture and roadmap set by the Revenue Operations Director, who owns Rev Ops Strategy and designs the desired architecture: what the stack should look like and why. The GTM Engineer owns how it actually gets built — turning designs into reliable, automated, well-documented systems, and serving as the primary Salesforce Administrator. It is a deeply hands-on role suited to someone who loves making systems talk to each other while remaining focused on the outcome and benefits to the sales organization. This role is a good fit for somebody who takes pride in automation that just works and is driven to remove manual effort where possible.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

SALESFORCE ADMINISTRATION & BUILD

  • Serve as the primary Salesforce Administrator — objects, fields, flows, validation rules, page layouts, permissions, and release management.
  • Build and maintain Salesforce automations (Flow, approval processes, assignment rules) implementing the processes designed by the RevOps Director.
  • Implement lead scoring, routing, and assignment logic to the Director's design, and iterate based on performance data.

INTEGRATIONS & APIS

  • Build and maintain the integrations between Salesforce, HubSpot, Gong, and ZoomInfo — native connectors, middleware (e.g., Zapier, Workato, Make), and direct API work where needed.
  • Implement the bi-directional Salesforce–HubSpot sync: lead and contact sync, lifecycle-stage updates, and campaign attribution fields, per the governance model set by the Director.
  • Configure Gong (call logging, deal-risk signals into CRM) and ZoomInfo (enrichment, intent data, territory mapping) and keep their data flowing cleanly into Salesforce.
  • Manage and execute data loads, migrations, deduplication, and ad-hoc analysis.

AUTOMATION, DATA QUALITY & DOCUMENTATION

  • Build automated safeguards against data degradation: dedupe jobs, required-field enforcement, orphaned-record detection, and sync-failure alerting.
  • Monitor integration health and fix breakages fast — owning uptime of the data flows end-to-end.
  • Build the reports and dashboards specified by the RevOps Director for the CRO, Sales & Customer Success leadership.
  • Document every build: system architecture as-built, data flows, and runbooks, so nothing lives only in one person's head.
  • Prototype and pilot new tools or automations identified on the Director's roadmap.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years in a hands-on GTM engineering, sales operations, marketing operations, or Salesforce administration role.
  • Certified Salesforce Administrator or equivalent demonstrable hands-on experience in a live sales environment is critical
  • Experience building integrations between CRM and marketing automation platforms — HubSpot–Salesforce sync experience strongly preferred.
  • Working proficiency with APIs (REST, webhooks) and integration/automation platforms such as Zapier, Workato, or Make.
  • Strong SQL/SOQL skills; scripting ability (e.g., Python or JavaScript) a plus.
  • Experience with revenue tooling such as Gong and ZoomInfo, or comparable platforms.
  • A builder's mindset: bias to automate, test before shipping, document what you build.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Salesforce Platform App Builder or Advanced Administrator certification.
  • Experience in B2B SaaS revenue operations.
  • Exposure to data warehousing or BI tools for revenue analytics.

CORE TECHNOLOGY STACK

  • Salesforce — this role is the primary administrator and builder.
  • HubSpot — this role builds and maintains the sync and automation.
  • Gong — this role configures and integrates call intelligence into the CRM.
  • ZoomInfo — this role implements enrichment and intent-data flows.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE (FIRST 6–12 MONTHS)

  • The target architecture set by the RevOps Director is built and live: leads, contacts, and opportunities flow across the stack with no manual re-entry.
  • Integration uptime and sync reliability are monitored, alerted, and consistently high.
  • Measurable improvement in CRM data-quality metrics (duplicates, completeness, orphaned records).
  • Lead routing and scoring run automatically, with response times cut measurably.
  • Complete as-built documentation and runbooks exist for every integration and automation.
