As a BlueRock Junior Software Development Engineer in Test you will:

  • Learn the internals of the BlueRock hypervisor and security features of the product and ramp up quickly
  • Develop test cases and write test programs to test OS functionality and performance
  • Build guest OS images and OS security tools from sources
  • Build custom tools and kernel driver programs to test product security features and other components
  • Test product features with different Linux Distros and Container Runtimes
  • Write automated regression tests in Python and integrate to PyTest framework
  • Identify functional/performance issues and report them in internal system with all required artifacts
  • Participate in technical discussion with teams in Germany and the US

You could be a great fit for this role if you have: (Must Haves)

  • BE/BTECH/M.TECH (CS/ECE/IS/EEE)
  • 1 to 3 years’ experience
  • Strong in Linux internals
  • Strong in virtualization concepts
  • Practical knowledge on X86 Processor Architectures
  • Working experience in at least one hypervisor
  • Familiar with writing test plans and different test methodologies
  • Familiar with writing scripts in Shell and Python
  • Experience in writing automated tests in PyTest framework
  • Familiarity with OS functional and benchmarking test tools
  • Experience in developing test tools in C/C++ to test OS functionality and performance
  • Familiar with Linux Containers and container orchestration technologies
  • Familiar with GRUB, PXE, UEFI and other boot infrastructure
  • Good problem analysis and debugging skills.
  • Open minded with excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and inter-cultural awareness

Nice to have:

  • Familiar with tools like gcc/clang, gdb, objdump
  • Familiar with different linux distributions, building custom kernels
  • Familiar with Linux security concepts like LSM, SELinux, AppArmor
