About the Role

We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented QA Engineer with 2–5 years of experience in software testing, preferably within FinTech, Lending, Banking, or NBFC domains.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience testing Loan Origination Systems (LOS) and Loan Management Systems (LMS), along with automation testing expertise using Selenium and/or Playwright.

You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to ensure the quality, reliability, and scalability of lending products while supporting both manual and automated testing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Functional Testing -

• Analyze business requirements, user stories, BRDs, PRDs, and technical specifications.
• Create and maintain test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test data.

Execute functional, regression, integration, exploratory, smoke, sanity, and UAT testing.

• Ensure complete requirement-to-test-case traceability.

Automation Testing -

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Selenium and/or Playwright.
• Build reusable automation frameworks following Page Object Model (POM) and best practices.
• Execute automation suites as part of CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyze failures and maintain automation stability and coverage.

API & Database Testing -

• Validate REST APIs and third-party integrations using Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Perform backend data validation using SQL.
• Verify data integrity, financial transactions, and reporting accuracy.

Defect Management & Quality Assurance -

• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects.
• Perform root cause analysis and support issue resolution.
• Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, estimation, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
• Contribute to QA process improvements and quality best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Testing & Automation -

• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Defect Lifecycle.
• Expertise in:
• Functional Testing
• Regression Testing

• User Acceptance Testing
• Hands-on experience with:
• Selenium WebDriver and/or Playwright
• Automation framework design
• Data-driven testing

Database & Tools -

• Basic SQL skills with experience in PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
• Experience using:

• Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI

Educational Qualifications:

• B.E. / B.Tech (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline.
• Candidates from Tier-1 institutions with a consistently strong academic record will be preferred.
